MyUpgrade


The following Terms and Conditions shall apply to all submission of Offers (“Offer”) made by a Passenger or his/her representative to Azores Airlines under MyUpgrade program. An Offer provides the Passenger/s an opportunity to upgrade from originally booked class of service to a higher class of service.

 

  1. Tickets must be issued using Azores Airlines document on 331 or 737.
     
  2. Any person who submits an Offer on behalf of another passenger is deemed to have been authorized by the Passenger/s for whom the Offer is being made. Consequently, the Passenger/s shall be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Azores Airlines may or may not require any proof of such authorization.
     
  3. Passengers holding the following tickets are not eligible for MyUpgrade
     
    1. Award tickets of any and all frequent flyer programs;
    2. Denied boarding tickets;
    3. ID/AD tickets;
    4. Unaccompanied minor;
    5. Bookings with 10 or more passengers under one (1) Booking Reference or Record Locator;
    6. Bookings with one or more passengers on Medical Case (“MEDA”) and/or flight assistance (wheelchair);
    7. Bookings with Infant;
    8. Codeshare flights, except codeshare flights with and/or operated exclusively by SATA Air Açores;
    9. Charter flights, except as otherwise identified by Azores Airlines;
    10. And all other non-revenue tickets.
    11. Special services associated with flight, such as sports equipment and pets.
       
  4. MyUpgrade may be availed only on specific fares, flights, destinations, and/or travel dates as may be identified by Azores Airlines at its sole and absolute discretion (“Eligible Flight”)
     
  5. Passenger or his/her representative can make an Offer by:
     
    1. following the instructions on the link provided in the email inviting the Passenger to make an Offer for an Upgrade; or
    2. visiting MyUpgrade website at upgrade.plusgrade.com by following the instructions therein; or
    3. going to the MyUpgrade under Manage My Booking tab on our website; or
    4. clicking the upgrade invite during online check-in.

       
  6. Azores Airlines is under no obligation to accept an Offer and does not guarantee that a Passenger will be upgraded by making an Offer.
     
  7. If more than one passenger exists in the Booking Reference or Record Locator, the Offer shall be applicable to all passengers in the booking. The Offer amount shall apply on a per passenger basis and is the same for both adult and child passenger/s.
     
  8. The Offer to upgrade is in addition to the original ticket price. The Offer a Passenger can make depends on the flight, destination and economy fare paid.
     
  9. The Offer may be sent for each passenger eligible flight up to 24 hours prior to flight departure.
     
  10. All Offers submitted may be accepted by Azores Airlines anytime up to 24 hours prior to the flight’s standard time of departure.
     
  11. An Acknowledgement of an Offer will be sent to the email address provided by the Passenger which includes the total Offer Amount and all additional taxes and fees, if applicable, for all Passenger/s in the booking.
     
  12. The Offer can only be modified or cancelled solely by the Passenger or his/her Representative any time from submission until 24 hours prior to the flight’s standard time of departure provided that the Offer has not been accepted by Azores Airlines and the Passenger’s or his/her representative’s credit card has not been charged.
     
  13. Once the Offer is accepted, the Offer can no longer be modified and cancelled. The Passenger is obligated to complete the payment of the price stated in the original Offer.
     
  14. Credit card details shall be collected upon submission of the Offer. An authorization hold amount shall be placed on the card account to verify if the credit card is active. The authorization hold amount is not a charge and will not appear on the cardholder’s billing statement.
     
  15. The payment for the Upgrade shall be charged automatically once the Offer is accepted. Each Offer can only be paid using a single credit card. If accepted, the Offer plus any applicable fees and/or charges may appear on the credit card statement of account.
     
  16. A notification of “Successful Upgrade” will be sent to the email address provided by the passenger which includes the Offer Amount and all additional taxes and fees, if applicable, for all Passenger/s in the booking.
     
  17. A notification of “Unsuccessful Upgrade” will be sent to the e-mail address provided by the passenger for Offers not accepted.
     
  18. Upon acceptance of the Offer, MyUpgrade Passenger/s may be eligible to the services and benefits corresponding to the class for which the Offer was accepted except as otherwise provided in these terms and conditions, and such services and benefits shall only be applicable to the flight for which the Offer has been accepted.
     
  19. In the event of change in flight schedule for which an Offer has been made but not yet accepted by Azores Airlines, the Offer shall be invalidated and will no longer be considered for acceptance. Passenger may resubmit an Offer for the new flight schedule.
     
  20. MyUpgrade is non-transferable and non-endorsable.
     
  21. The accepted Offer paid is non-refundable, except when there is a legal or valid cause, such as but not limited to operational safety and security concerns and such other cases as may be determined by Azores Airlines in accordance with its General Conditions of Carriage, applicable laws, rules and regulations.
     
  22. Any voluntary downgrade shall result to forfeiture of the accepted Offer paid.
     
  23. In case the Passenger/s voluntarily rebooks or refunds his/her economy ticket, the accepted Offer paid for the upgrade shall be forfeited. Passenger who voluntarily changed his/her flight will not be entitled to a refund for the upgrade and the upgrade entitlement cannot be transferred to a flight at another date/time.
     
  24. If the upgrade has been accepted, and has not been complied with, the Passenger(s) entitled to reimbursement agree to send the following proof of travel for the flight in question to upgrade@sata.pt:
     
    • Boarding Pass; and
    • Confirmation Email of Successful Upgrade
       
  25. Should any refund be approved; it will be processed in the currency in which the Upgrade amount was charged. Refund amount shall be charged back to the credit card used for payment of the Upgrade. Any and all charges associated with the refund, such as but not limited to, bank fees and foreign exchange losses, shall be for account of the Passenger/s.
     
  26. The fare conditions of the original ticket purchased by the Passenger/s shall remain in effect whether or not the Offer is accepted.
     
  27. MyUpgrade Passenger/s shall be entitled to full Economy Class mileage accrual.
     
  28. MyUpgrade Business Class passengers shall be entitled to lounge access at available airports where it is available.
     
  29. MyUpgrade passenger/s shall also be entitled to the Free Baggage Allowance of the upgraded class of service.
     
  30. Seats paid will be refunded if the offer is accepted. The refund must be requested from the issuing agent, with proof of the accepted Upgrade confirmation email.
     
  31. Paid Meal Upgrade shall be forfeited once the Offer has been accepted.
     
  32. Prepaid extra baggage reservations are currently not permitted.
     
  33. Azores Airlines reserves the right to modify and otherwise change these Terms and Conditions without prior notice, subject to applicable laws, rules and regulations. These Terms and Conditions shall be read in conjunction with Azores Airlines General Conditions of Carriage, Disclaimer, SATA IMAGINE Miles Terms and Conditions, Data Privacy & Security Policy, Online Booking Terms and Conditions, and other applicable laws, rules and regulations.
     
  34. By making an Offer to MyUpgrade, Passenger acknowledges, understands, and accepts the full Terms and Conditions of the program.

 

 

MyExtraSeat

 

  1. MyExtraSeat may be availed only on specific flights, destinations, and/or travel dates as may be identified by Azores Airlines at its sole and absolute discretion.
     
  2. MyExtraSeat is applicable only on Azores Airlines operated flights.
     
  3. Passengers holding confirmed Economy Class tickets are eligible to avail the product, except passengers with Special Service Requests, in need of special handling or as identified by the carrier.
     
  4. Azores Airlines, at its sole and absolute discretion, has the right to determine eligibility of a passenger for MyExtraSeat.
     
  5. For Booking Reference or Record Locators with more than one passenger, MyExtraSeat may be availed by one or few passengers in the booking. Applicable fees shall apply per passenger.
     
  6. An eligible passenger may avail MyExtraSeat 48 hours before Standard Time of Departure.
     
  7. MyExtraSeat cannot be availed with Extra Seats Legroom or exit rows. Passengers with previously paid Extra Seats Legroom are not eligible to avail MyExtraSeat.
     
  8. Passenger may purchase up to a maximum of two (2) seats per flight depending on aircraft configuration and subject to availability of adjacent seats.
     
  9. Passenger may choose seat assignment and extra seat/s upon booking of MyExtraSeat. Passenger with previously reserved seat may not necessarily be assigned the same seat as this is subject to available vacant seat/s at the time of booking.
     
  10. Passenger may choose the seat and extra seat allocation when booking MyExtraSeat. Passengers with a previously booked seat can change their seat allocation in order to find vacant seats available when purchasing MyExtraSeat.
     
  11. Voluntary changes to assigned MyExtraSeat are not allowed.
     
  12. The payment for MyExtraSeat shall be charged immediately upon purchase.
     
  13. E-mail confirmation and official receipt will be sent through email.
     
  14. Passenger who availed MyExtraSeat will only be entitled to the inclusions of his/her confirmed Economy Class ticket.
     
  15. Passenger who availed for MyExtraSeat shall not be entitled to additional mileage accrual, baggage, meals, and lounge.
     
  16. MyExtraSeat is non-rebookable, non-transferable and non-endorseable.
     
  17. Voluntarily changes or refund of ticket shall cause forfeiture of MyExtraSeat.
     
  18. MyExtraSeat is non-refundable, save for cases as may be identified by the airline in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
     
  19. In case of refund, an e-mail confirmation of refund shall be sent to the email address provided upon purchase of MyExtraSeat.
     
  20. Should any refund be approved, passenger will receive a full refund based on the total amount of MyExtraSeat; it will be processed in the currency in which the amount was charged and to the credit card that was used to pay for MyExtraSeat.
     
  21. If by any reason we are unable to comply with the service, we will process your refund within 48 hours of flight departure.
     
  22. Azores Airlines reserves the right to modify and otherwise change these Terms and Conditions, without prior notice, subject to applicable laws, rules, and regulations. These Terms and Conditions shall be read in conjunction with Azores Airlines General Conditions of Carriage, Disclaimer, SATA IMAGINE Miles Terms and Conditions, Data Privacy & Security Policy, Online Booking Terms and Conditions, and other applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
     
  23. By requesting and availing MyExtraSeat, Passenger acknowledges, understands, and accepts these Terms and Conditions.
