Coronavirus Covid-19 - Operational and commercial procedures adopted by airlines

Given the constraints caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, and to simplify the lives of its customers and guarantee them the best possible peace of mind, SATA Group carriers have just introduced changes in commercial procedures to allow the reorganization of travel plans for all passengers who made bookings with them, by March 6, 2020.

Thus, between March 6 and March 16, changes in travel will be permitted without penalty or fare difference on all SATA Group tickets issued by March 6, 2020, on flights operated by SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines. These trips may be changed to a convenient date. However, the start of the journey must occur by May 31, 2020. If passengers wish to take advantage of the opportunity, they must do so between March 6 and 16, 2020. After this date, the situation will be reassessed, taking into account the situation's evolution.

In addition to this commercial change, it should also be noted that the air carriers have already implemented onboard all their aircraft the recommendations issued by the Health Authorities (Regional and National Health Directions), as well as the procedures recommended by the competent bodies in the aeronautical sector, ANAC, and IATA.

The situation is being monitored daily, in conjunction with the health authority and airport authorities, particularly at the points of origin and destination of the carriers' connections.
