Azores Airlines is strengthening its air operation due to the high demand for flights in the coming days.

The airline provides 670 extra seats on August 31, September 1, and 3, 2023, and coordinates additional offers with the reinforcement of interisland flights on SATA Air Açores.

Due to the heightened demand for flights to the Azores Archipelago, particularly during the final days of August and early September, and specifically on routes between the Azores and the mainland, Azores Airlines will proceed with the increase of its operations, ensuring the provision of approximately 670 additional seats, considering the fluctuating demand.

The increase in capacity is the best solution when it comes to the impossibility of carrying out extraordinary flights due to the limitations of airport slots available. The enhancement in capacity was reconciled with the recently implemented reinforcement in the interisland operation of SATA Air Açores.

The supplementary capacity is currently available, thus enabling interested passengers to begin their bookings.

During IATA's 2023 summer season (between March 28 and October 28), the airline SATA Air Açores has planned to operate about 13,300 flights (+5% when compared to the same period of 2022), and Azores Airlines has scheduled to operate about 6,300 flights (+12% when compared to the same period of 2022).
