More passengers and better punctuality

SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines arrived at the end of January 2022 with an 81% growth in the total number of passengers transported, when compared with January of last year. 

The traffic growth was complemented by a new punctuality record. In the SATA Group airline totals, SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines, achieved an average on-time rate of 93% in January 2022, 6 percentage points higher than the rate of 87% registered in January 2021. That achievement contributes to the strategy of service excellency that the airlines wishes to pursuit by serving passengers and, at the same time, minimizing the cost structures of the airlines.

On several occasions, SATA Group achieved a daily punctuality rate of 100% during January, still due to occasional weather conditions, felt more frequently during the winter season in the Azores, the punctuality record was occasionally compromised.
