Pilot Training: Airbus Qualification Courses

SATA International complies with all applicable legal requirements regarding Authorized Training Organization certification through Certificate PT.ATO.011.01, issued to SATA by ANAC (National Civil Aviation Authority), authorizing SATA to provide the following training courses:

• A320/A310 Type Rating Course
• A320/A310 Type Rating Instructor Course

Pilot Training: Basic Flight

SATA International provides basic flight training for A320 and A310 aircraft, benefiting from the excellent conditions available at Santa Maria Airport.

Cabin Crew Initial Training

In compliance with European Union regulations, the CFAA covers all training aspects provided for under EU OPS 1. This enables SATA to comply with existing training requirements while also serving other airlines wishing to use the facilities.

The Cabin Crew Initial Training course is delivered in compliance with EU OPS 1.1005 regarding safety and security. It enables the certification of crew members with the knowledge and skills required to assist passengers and support the technical crew in ensuring safety and comfort on board the aircraft, in accordance with established standards and procedures.

Ground Personnel Initial Training

Within the scope of CFAA training activities, initial training courses are organized and delivered to qualify professionals to perform ground handling functions.

Commercial Technician Initial Training

This training course comprises several modules, enabling trainees to gain the knowledge and specific skills required for the sales area.

Ground Handling Operator Initial Training

This training course comprises several modules, enabling trainees to gain the knowledge and specific skills required to assist aircraft. Duties include loading, unloading and transporting baggage, cargo and mail between aircraft, warehouses and terminals, driving vehicles and operating aircraft support equipment.

Ground Handling Traffic Technician Initial Training

This training course comprises several modules, enabling trainees to gain the knowledge and specific skills required to assist passengers and handle their baggage on the ground.

Within the scope of air transport activities, CFAA (The Azores Aeronautical Training Academy) provides several other training courses.

AED Operator and Basic Life Support Training Courses

These courses prepare trainees to handle emergency situations involving adults, children and infants experiencing cardiac arrest.

Firefighting Training Course

This course provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to fight fires within airport infrastructure and during aircraft assistance.

Human Factors Training

This is considered a mandatory subject for professionals who perform airside duties, work in aircraft maintenance or have access to restricted airport areas. The training aims to develop a safety culture by improving understanding of human error, its causes and methods of prevention.
