Azores Airlines started direct flights between Montreal and Terceira Island

The Azores Airlines Airbus A321 LR landed at 20:54M at Lajes Airport runway, Terceira Island. During the flight, crew members surprised passengers by offering souvenirs, including a first flight certificate and traditional delicacies, such as the very appreciated  “Queijada D. Amélia” and a Blackberry Licor “Licor de Amora”, two of the most appreciated local flavours.

Upon arrival at Lajes Airport, the airline was greeted with water jets, a traditional welcome gesture in aviation.

After disembarking, local authorities welcomed passengers at Terceira Island, raising together a toast to the beginning of the airline's new connection.

The air operation now started and extends until September 14 with a weekly connection operated on Wednesdays.
