Shipment of cargo accompanied by a Data Logger on flights operated by the Azores Airlines fleet.
To ship cargo containing one or more monitoring devices, the following procedures must be observed:
- Confirm that the device has been approved by SATA (please refer to the list below);
- Advise, at the time of booking, that a monitoring device will be transported with the shipment;
- Ensure that the device is properly packed by the shipper; Include the following information in the Handling Information field of the Air Waybill (AWB):
- Device type;
- Model;
- Submit, through the freight forwarder, a declaration confirming the correct installation of the device, that it has not been tampered with, and that it is in proper working condition.
Devices Not Included in the Approved List
If the device is not included in the list of approved Data Loggers and monitoring devices, an e-mail should be sent to satacargoinfo@sata.pt, together with the relevant technical documentation.
Upon receipt and review of the documentation, if the device is considered eligible for transport, it will be added to the list of approved Data Loggers and monitoring devices.
For any additional clarification, the same e-mail address should be used.
Attached is the list of Data Loggers currently approved for cargo transportation on flights operated by the Azores Airlines fleet.
