To highlight travel agents' vital role as an indirect sales channel, the SATA Group has partnered with the Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies (APAVT) to celebrate the association's 75th anniversary. As part of the celebration, SATA offers special commercial conditions on Azores Airlines routes between the Azores and mainland Portugal and between the Azores and Madeira.
This commemorative campaign runs through the end of June and also honors National Travel Agent Day, observed on May 30.
With this initiative, SATA aims to recognize and thank travel agents for their ongoing contribution to the steady growth in ticket sales for both SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines.
“We are pleased to see this gesture from SATA, which reinforces the strong partnership between our organizations and enhances travel opportunities for our mutual customers,” said Pedro Costa Ferreira, APAVT's president.
“We are proud to join in celebrating APAVT's remarkable 75-year journey. This symbolic gesture is our way of expressing gratitude for the association's invaluable work advancing national tourism and supporting our industry,” said Rui Coutinho, Chairman of SATA Holding.
Far more than intermediaries, travel agents are trusted advisors, sources of information, and dedicated supporters of passengers. They enthusiastically promote the destinations served by SATA Group airlines and are committed to delivering travel solutions that meet the expectations of today's travelers.
