Approximately 4,000 passengers took advantage of the special fare campaign launched by Azores Airlines for travel between the Azores and mainland Portugal, highlighting the strong customer response to the promotion, which ran from 17 to 30 September 2026.
The campaign offered round-trip fares from EUR 119 on routes connecting Lisbon, Porto and Faro with any of the nine islands of the Azores. The offer was available both for travelers departing from mainland Portugal and for those travelling from the Azores. Bookings could be made until 30 September 2026 for journeys from 3 November 2026 onwards.
The results demonstrate sustained demand for affordable and accessible air travel between the Azores and mainland Portugal. The initiative also supported the airline’s objective of stimulating travel demand during traditionally quieter periods of the year.
The campaign further highlighted Azores Airlines’ distinctive position as the only carrier offering direct services between the Azores and Portugal’s three main domestic gateways: Lisbon, Porto and Faro. This network provides travelers with greater flexibility and convenience, broadens travel options, and enhances the Azores’ attractiveness as a destination in the domestic market.
