The SATA Group confirms that it received a notification from the manufacturer Airbus this afternoon (28 November 2025) to immediately update the software on the A320 Neo, A321 Neo and A321 Neo LR aircraft that are part of the Azores Airlines fleet.
Acting proactively and in close collaboration with the manufacturer, Azores Airlines has adjusted its operational planning to carry out all required procedures during scheduled rotations, aiming to complete the updates within the deadline set by Airbus: 23:59 on 29 November.
This approach ensures compliance with the highest safety standards while maintaining flight schedules and minimizing any potential inconvenience to passengers. The airline’s fleet currently includes nine Airbus aircraft, seven of which remain fully operational under this plan. The two A320 Ceo aircraft are not affected by this update.
At this time, SATA Group does not anticipate any significant cancellations or delays. Should any changes occur, passengers with confirmed reservations will be promptly informed through the usual communication channels, based on the contact details provided at booking.
