Azores Airlines informed that the air operation between Ponta Delgada and the German city of Düsseldorf, scheduled for the Summer of 2022, will be cancelled, given the low demand that this route continues to show.
Its start was initially scheduled for the end of March 2022, having been postponed to the end of May due to the instability caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
Considering that the airline already ensures a weekly connection between the Azores and the German city of Frankfurt, it was deemed more prudent to suspend this second operation between Germany and the Azores, given the signs it continues to show.
The airline has already taken the necessary steps to make sure that operators and business partners are informed and will then proceed to re-accommodate passengers to seek, in time, the best possible alternatives for their travel plans.
